(TXTM) New Distro Agreements w/ Prominent NY Auto Dealerships On Distracted Driving Solution
Company’s OBD-II Distracted Driving Product to Be Sold in Bright Bay Lincoln, Bright Bay Mazda of Bay Shore, NY, and Boulevard Auto World in Queens, NY
DELRAY BEACH, FL–(Sep 5, 2014) – Protext Mobility (OTC Pink: TXTM) (PINKSHEETS: TXTM), a developer of innovative and trusted applications for the mobile communications market, is pleased to announce that the Company has executed new distribution agreements with Bright Bay Lincoln, Bright Bay Mazda, both in Bay Shore, NY, and Boulevard Auto World in Queens, NY. Pursuant to the agreements, Protext’s OBD-II distracted driving solution will be marketed and sold directly to consumers at all three auto dealerships, with collateral marketing and product information displayed prominently at the welcome desk and throughout the showroom floor. DriveAlert, which utilizes Protext’s proprietary OBD-II technology, is a text blocking solution that, when enabled, will prevent certain activities on mobile devices in equipped vehicles — particularly text, email, video/camera, and social media applications.
“With the end of the summer, comes back to school for millions of children across the country and getting our kids to and from school safely is the number one priority of parents. The dangers of distracted driving continue to be in the national spotlight as this epidemic continues to grow faster than technology can curb the problem. As such, we continue to see strong interest in DriveAlert from multiple market sectors and significantly in the auto dealer industry,” noted Steve Berman, CEO of Protext Mobility. “We are very pleased to report that the Company continues to expand its point of sale distribution through the auto-dealership market. Currently, we are engaged in many ongoing contractual negotiations with new dealers around the country, several of which are with very large dealer groups representing dozens of auto-dealers, as well hundreds of independent cell phone stores.”
Mr. Berman concluded his comments by saying, “We have designed a business model that is scalable. Our solution offers dealerships and independent cell phone stores a highly profitable after-market add-on that addresses the distracted driving epidemic and allows them to incorporate Protext’s product at the point of purchase. DriveAlert is not only great for business but also important for the community to help keep our roads safe from the dangers associated with distracted driving.”
