$ARNA Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

SAN DIEGO, March 20, 2018 — Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) today announced that it intends to offer and sell, subject to market and other conditions, 7,500,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Arena expects to grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1,125,000 shares of its common stock. All of the shares are being offered by Arena. There can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
